IMMERSIVE EDUCATION 2010 BOSTON SUMMIT: The world's leading experts in virtual worlds, learning games and educational simulations convened April 23-25 in Boston for a special three-day conference open to the global education community. Boston College hosted the Immersive Education 2010 Boston Summit through special arrangement with the Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College. Organized specifically for educators, researchers, and administrators, the three-day conference consisted of presentations, panel discussions, break-out sessions and workshops that provide attendees with an in-depth overview of immersive learning platforms and technologies. .::Summit homepage::.
Hello everyone. Welcome back. I am curious... where were you when you heard my "welcome back" message (available here also in MP3 format)? Where were you, what day and time was it, and what were you doing? - Aaron

Care to share? If you do, we'll archive a copy as well; simply post a reply here, in this forum discussion, with links to anything about the summit that you would like to make available to the general public and our community. I would like to also encourage everyone to take screenshots and videos of this new web site (starting with these forums) and the learning worlds, learning games, simulators and other Immersive Education content and experiences we are entering. Reply with links to those, too, and we'll include them in the historical record. Cheers, Aaron

The Immersive Education Initiative is providing permanent virtual world land for one year to every school and non-profit organization that had at least one teacher, administrator or student in attendance at the 2010 Boston Summit. The land, a full region of space measuring 256x256 meters in size (65,536 square meters), would cost nearly $2,500 in Second Life at the normal educational rate ($700 plus $1770 in annual maintenance fees). The free land can be renewed each year, also free of charge, by simply attending any annual Immersive Education Initiative Summit..::How to claim your land::.  .::Set your building schedule::.
